Re Vomit Comet
Written by
Ed Perratore 09/04/2010
Oh, Alan, I just had to have spent so many years watching my own kids when they were small to roll with laughter at your situation--however difficult it must have been at the time. It's one of those times that, thanks to your blog, will remain with you ever after. And yes, you really will want to look back on it...especially when you're a grandpa. Thanks for another great post!

I'm pretty sure Mr. Breidenbach didn't cover that in High School Biology.

BTDT

Strollers are easier to clean than car seats, believe me. Unfortunately, my power spewer (and so far I only have one) likes to do it in bed. So yes, I do know that you can vomit while asleep. And happily stay asleep. Less happy when mommy insists you get in the shower to try and clean you up.
My sympathies.

a fathers take
Written by
Sarah Beardsley 07/05/2010
I love reading a take on fatherhood. I have never heard a dad any where get into fathering. My dad was always working sometimes up to 3 jobs just to take care of us. But this, this is great, thanks and keep up the good work dad, you're a super hero in your baby's eyes :-)

Two more gems
Written by
Ed Perratore 05/06/2010
More enjoyable reading, Alan! It would embarrass my kids to death for me to write now about their antics way-back-when, so now is the time to do it. And you do it so well. Thanks for letting me know on Facebook when you've done another!

The potty training dad is hysterical! Also, the defriending probably was due to the kiddie stuff.

Because she tried to save me. This nice Jewish girl from NY does not need to be saved on FB.

What gems!
Written by
Ed Perratore 04/02/2010
Alan, I'm so glad to read these--they're wonderful--and want you to keep saying when you've posted a new one. I know from experience, having spent years with my son from babydom to kindergarten, plus plenty of time with my daughter, too. (We had little luck with babysitters.) Yes, stay-at-home dads are odd animals. These pieces are funny--yet wise. Thanks!

Alan
That was the funniest story I ever read, probably because I can relate to the toileting stuff way too much! You should write a book!
