Baby:
Your baby is now about the weight of a quart of milk.
Eyelashes appear this week, and soon baby will start blinking regularly. Longer hair starts to grow on his head, and all in all, he’s looking very much like a miniature newborn.
Mom:
It’s not just your baby’s growing muscle strength that keeps him active in your uterus. Did you know that if you experience extended periods of exhaustion, it can actually make your baby more restless?
Listen to your body and rest whenever you feel the need. If you notice yourself becoming overtired, breathe deeply, stand up and take a break. If you need a nap, take a nap. Follow your instincts.
Hopefully you’re getting enough sleep at night, and if so, you may be having a lot more vivid dreams than usual. Many women who have never dreamed about children before suddenly find that’s all they dream about.
Some dreams address your fears of what’s to come; some prepare you for the upcoming birth. You may want to consider keeping a dream journal, just jotting down your impressions immediately after waking up. Oh, and you can pretty much forget about dream-interpretation books – no one’s better at interpreting your dreams than you.
