Note that some of these dates are different than what you may be used to. Pregnancy is calculated differently in other countries: This animation is taken directly from our Norwegian sister site. In Norway, they consider Week 9 the end of the embryonic stage; in the U.S., the embryonic stage ends (and the fetal stage begins) at Week 11. They also have one more week of pregnancy in Norway; for an accurate U.S. number, add one week to each number.
